Giuseppe Domenico Botto

Giuseppe Domenico Botto (born April 4, 1791 in Moneglia , † March 20, 1865 in Turin ) was an Italian physicist.

He attended the University of Genoa and the École polytechnique in Paris and was appointed to the Chair of General and Experimental Physics at the University of Turin .

In 1830 he described an electric motor on which he was working and in 1836 sent the memorandum Machine Loco-motive mise en mouvement par l'électro-magnétisme to the academy in Turin.
