Giuseppe Ferlito

Giuseppe Ferlito (born October 24, 1954 in Burgio ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Ferlito studied architecture at the University of Florence , where he has lived since 1976, and then took acting courses at Vittorio Gassman's Bottega Teatrale . Between 1984 and 1989 he made several Super8 films, including a feature film and the award-winning Contraccolpo . Since 1990 he has headed the video laboratory and directed the video feature film Lettere morte and, in 1993, the Gabbia di gesso , based on his own script . Some medium-length films followed.

Ferlito has also worked as a documentarist for cinema and television, is a permanent lecturer at the Scuola Laboratorio Cinematografo Immagine, which he founded in 1994, and presented his first fully professional film in 1998. Monica Guerritore played the main role in Femmina .

To this day, Ferlito alternates between directing and teaching.
