Giuseppe Magrini

Giuseppe Magrini (born November 22, 1857 in Milan , † December 20, 1926 in Monza ) was an Italian cellist, music teacher and composer.

Magrini was a professor of cello at the Conservatory of Milan for 43 years. As a concert cellist he performed under the direction of Giuseppe Verdi and Arturo Toscanini . He was also the principal cellist in the orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala . Lorenzo de Paolis and Enrico Mainardi were among his students . As a composer he emerged with works for the cello.
