The Glückauf Gemeinnützige Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH was a mining-related housing company in the Brambauer district of Lüner . The Glückauf existed from 1951 to 2009. The name is derived from the miner's greeting Glückauf .

Glückauf was founded on December 24, 1951 by Gebrüder Stumm AG , who owned the Minister Achenbach colliery in the district . The administrative seat with the address Brechteer Str. 42 was the former villa of the Bergassessor a. D. Emil Stade, who was operations director at Achenbach from 1919 to 1952 and a member of the management of Gebrüder Stumm AG from 1945 to 1950.

With the resolution of the shareholders' meeting on December 2, 2009 and entry in the Dortmund Commercial Register (HRB 17102) on January 12, 2010, Glückauf was merged into the newly created THS Wohnen Westfalen GmbH of the THS Group , to which Glückauf had been part since 1975. In the course of the merger of THS GmbH and Evonik Wohnen GmbH to Vivawest GmbH , the administrative headquarters were also given up in 2012.

When the company acquired around 2000 apartments from its founding company Stumm AG in 1966, it also owned the oldest miners' settlements in Brambauer, e.g. B. The old colony in the northwest of Brambauer, which was first moved into in 1904. Most recently, the company managed around 4,700 rental units in Lünen and Selm , including around 3,500 in Lünen-Brambauer.

social commitment

Glückauf built two kindergartens, four senior centers z. B. Amselweg, and ran senior meetings. A miners' living museum documented the Glückauf's mission. With the mining culture and education association REVAG eV and the IG Bergbau und Energie , the Konradplatz meeting point was created, a meeting place with an extensive educational and advisory program. Glückauf won the “Socially Integrative City 2000” award in Berlin for the “Wohnen plus - Social Management of a Housing Association” project. In 2001 the "Glückauf Neighborhood Aid" received the "Robert Jungk Prize for Citizen Engagement".
