Gladys Mary Davis (born July 29, 1893 in Chiswick , London , † after 1924) was a British fencer .
Life
Gladys Davis took part in the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris , where she was in the field of participants in the first-ever individual competition in women's foil fencing. She survived the first round with 4-2 wins in second place in her group behind Ellen Osiier , in the semi-finals she remained unbeaten. In the final round she only lost again to Ellen Osiier and thus secured the silver medal. In 1923, 1925 and 1926 she became British champion.
