Ellen Ottilia Osiier (born August 13, 1890 in Hjørring , † September 6, 1962 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish fencer .
Life
Ellen Osiier took part in the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris , where she was among the participants in the first-ever women's individual foil fencing competition. She remained without defeat in all 16 battles and was thus the first female foil fencer to become Olympic champion .
She was married to Ivan Osiier (1888-1965), who took part in seven Olympic Games as a fencer and won a silver medal.
