The individual parts made in this way are assembled into devices and apparatus. Then the glass apparatus and glass appliances are refined, e.g. B. by measuring (adjustment) using water or mercury (Hg), depending on the size of the devices / apparatus by adjusters (used to be a teaching profession), attaching scales usually by means of screen printing (also common by etching or burning in adhesive scales ), but also by evacuating or silver plating, mainly of columns, column heads, glass inserts for thermos flasks and vessels.
