Glashütten is a district of the municipality of Rickenbach in the Baden-Württemberg district of Waldshut .
The hamlet is located in the Hotzenwald , about two kilometers northwest of Rickenbach. A road connects it with Altenschwand and the 6538 district road .
The glassworks, already mentioned in a Klingental document in 1257 , is one of the oldest glassmaking settlements in the Black Forest , together with Altenschwand . In 1301 the Beuggen Order of the Teutonic Order had a court here. Glassworks originally belonged to the Wehr office .
The former district of Altenschwand was incorporated into Rickenbach in 1973 as part of the municipal reform.
