Glenys Quick

Glenys Quick (born November 29, 1957 ) is a former New Zealand marathon runner .

She was looked after by the legendary trainer Arthur Lydiard . In 1981 she was second in the Dallas White Rock Marathon , in 1982 third in the Chicago Marathon , and at the 1983 World Athletics Championships in Helsinki she came in 14th place.

The following year she won the premiere of the Nagoya Marathon and was sixth in Chicago. In 1985 she was second in Nagoya, fourth in the Philadelphia Half Marathon and again sixth in Chicago.

She is married to athletics coach Robert Vaughan and lives with him and their two daughters in Dallas .
