Gliese 317 b is an exoplanet that orbits the red dwarf Gliese 317 every 692.9 days . Due to its high mass , it is assumed that it is a gas planet .
discovery
The planet was discovered using the radial velocity method by John A. Johnson and R. Paul Butler in 2007 .
Circulation and mass
The planet orbits its star at a distance of approx. 0.95 astronomical units and has a mass of approx. 381.5 Earth masses or 1.2 Jupiter masses.
