Gliese 317 c is an exoplanet that orbits the red dwarf Gliese 317 every 2700 days . Due to its high mass , it is assumed that it is a gas planet .

discovery

The planet was discovered using the radial velocity method by John A. Johnson and R. Paul Butler in 2007 .

Circulation and mass

The planet orbits its star at a distance of approx. 2.9 astronomical units and has a mass of approx. 263.9 Earth masses or 0.83 Jupiter masses.
