Globiceps fulvicollis is a type of bug from the family of soft bugs (Miridae).
features
The elongated bugs are between 4.4 and 6.1 mm long. The males are fully winged (macropter), the females predominantly have shortened hemielytres (brachypter). The basic color of Globiceps fulvicollis is black. Scutellum and clavus are black. A dark, broad band runs across the otherwise cream-colored forewings (hemielytres). In the macropter form, the cuneus is darkly colored at the tip. The first antennae is brownish. The second antenna element is slightly thickened towards the tip. The two outer antenna segments are narrow. The color of the legs varies between light brown and black.

Occurrence and habitat
The distribution area of the species extends from Europe and the northern Mediterranean to Central Asia . Globiceps fulvicollis occurs almost everywhere in Germany. The species is also represented in the British Isles.
Way of life
Typical habitat of Wanzenart form open land biotopes, particularly surfaces with dwarf shrubs like heather ( Calluna vulgaris ), blueberries ( Vaccinium ), broom and creep willow ( Salix repens ). The species forms one generation per year. The flight time lasts from mid-June to early September. The polyphagous bugs suckle on various dwarf shrubs and herbaceous plants.
