Glodean White

Glodean Beverly White , born Glodean Beverly James , (* 16th October 1946 in Long Beach , California ) is an American R & B - singer . She belonged to the band Love Unlimited founded by Barry White .

Glodean James and her sister Linda were born in Long Beach but grew up in San Pedro . In the early 1960s they met the singer Diane Taylor in Buffalo , New York and together they formed the group Croonettes , which was re-formed in 1969 as Love Unlimited . The trio met the American soul singer Barry White during a recording session he produced for the singer Andrea Sprewell .

In July 1974, Glodean and Barry White married, and they had a daughter. In the late 1970s, Love Unlimited broke up, Linda James married and left the USA, Diane Taylor died of cancer in 1985.
