Gnadenkirche (Militsch)
The Grace Church of the Holy Cross in Milicz (Pol. Milicz , milicz county , Lower Silesia ) emerged as one of the six in a row of Altranstädt Convention established Protestant church building in Silesia.
history
The half-timbered church was built from 1709 to 1714 by Gottfried Hoffman from Oels with the support of the Maltzahn family .
Next to the church building with three gallery floors is a bell tower with three bells donated by the Maltzahn family at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1789 its height was reduced by 10 meters due to the risk of collapse.
After 1945 the Catholic Church took over the church building, and since 1994 it has served as the parish church of St. Andreas Bobola . In 1955 the bronze chandelier, the pulpit and the baroque baptismal font came to Poznan in the Poznan Cathedral .
Baron von Salisch donated the Sauer organ with 33 registers .
The church was registered on February 25, 1966 under the number A / 1326/1542 in the register of architectural monuments of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
