Salisch (noble family)

Salisch is the name of an old Silesian noble family that has been there since the 13th century.

history

The family is documented for the first time on December 7, 1259 with Nassigneus . The family was divided into three tribes in the 14th century, of which the Nassengnief (Nassengriff) and Wende tribes are still in bloom today, while in the 16th century, the family named Salisch for all three tribes, Dzalusch (Salisch) has since expired.

The family owned numerous estates in Silesia until they were expelled in 1945. Including Jeschütz , Koschnöwe and Lohe in the Trebnitz district , Ober- and Nieder-Kehle, Postel in the Militsch district , Kratzkau , Gohlitsch and Schmellwitz in the Schweidnitz district , as well as Penkendorf and Bischdorf.

The branches raised in the Bohemian baronial rank in 1728 and in the Prussian count status in 1741 and 1786 have expired.

The family coat of arms is split, on the right a black eagle wing in silver, on the left a silver deer pole in red . On the helmet with black and silver covers on the right and red and silver covers on the left, two red shields with silver bosses in front of nine red flags on golden poles, each covered with a silver rose.
