Go-Sai
Go-Sai ( Japanese 後 西 天皇 , Go-Sai-tennō ; * January 1, 1638 ; † March 26, 1685 ) was the 111th Tennō (Emperor) of Japan and the 8th son of Go-Mizunoo -tennō.
He followed his brother Tennō Go-Kōmyō . His rule began on January 5, 1655 and ended after about 8 years on March 5, 1663. He was followed by his brother Reigen as Tennō.
The real power lay with the Tokugawa - Shoguns .
Go-Sai had at least 27 children with several wives.
