Go Ara (born February 11, 1990 in Jinju ) is a South Korean actress and model and is under contract with the talent agency SM Entertainment .

Life

Go Ara was born on February 11, 1990 in Jinju ( South Gyeongsang ). Since her father was a soldier, she moved frequently in her childhood. In 2003 she won a teen model contest from SM Entertainment and was thereby signed by the talent agency.

Career

In 2003 Go played the leading female role in the KBS youth drama Banollim # 1 . In 2005 the second part with the title Banollim # 2 started , in which she also played. She achieved her breakthrough in acting in 2006 in the SBS drama Snow Flower through her role as Yoo Da-mi, for which she received the Paeksang Art Award for Best Young Actress .

In 2007 she made her film debut in the Japanese production Genghis Khan - The Blue Wolf , in which she played the role of Khulan . For the film Papa (2012) she sang the English song Now! For this film she learned English , singing, dancing and playing the guitar. In 2013, her role in the Reply 1994 series saw Go change her image.
