Gob Squad is a punk rock band from the Danish city of Aarhus . The band has released three studio albums and is currently under contract with Mascot Records . Singer Thomas Bredahl was also a member of the band Volbeat from 2006 to 2011 .
history
The band was founded in 1996. After touring Denmark a lot, two demos and a split, Gob Squad released their debut album Call for Response in 2003 via the German company Horror Business Records . After numerous concerts, the second album Far Beyond Control was released on Wolverine Records in 2005 . In autumn 2006 the band played at Popkomm in Berlin . Then Gob Squad were invited by the band Volbeat to support a tour through Denmark. After the tour, Volbeat separated from their guitarist Franz "Hellboss" Gottschalk. Thomas Bredahl was his successor, but remained the singer of Gob Squad. In 2007 Gob Squad signed a contract with Mascot Records and in early 2008 released their third album, Watch the Cripple Dance .
