It is located on the north side of Goethestrasse in Magdeburg's Stadtfeld Ost district at the address Goethestrasse 28 in a corner location on Wilhelm-Klees-Strasse . To the east is the also listed building at Goethestrasse 27 . The building is part of the Goethestrasse 22-28 monument area as a single monument .
Architecture and history
The three-storey plastered building was erected in 1902 as the parsonage of the Evangelical Paulus Church across the street . Towards Goethestrasse, the neo-Gothic facade has ten axes. The ground floor is separated from the upper floor by two cornices . There is a side risalit each at the west and east end . The two-axis risalites are crowned by stepped gables. A single-axis loggia crowned by a pyramid roof is attached to the western side projection . The window openings of the house are provided with segmental arches or designed in the shape of a cloverleaf and decorated with restraint.
In the local register of monuments , the rectory is listed as a monument under registration number 094 81758 .
As part of the development on the Goetheanlage, the building is considered to be significant in terms of urban development.
