The Goethestraße 39 building is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the south side of Goethestrasse in Magdeburg's Stadtfeld Ost district in a corner at the confluence with Steinigstrasse .
Architecture and history
The three-storey plastered house was built in 1901 by the building contractor Friedrich Gummert . The representative building was built in the neo-renaissance style . In the corner position, the floor plan is polygonal . The facade is structured by risalites , which are crowned with a half-timbered gable. The facade features pilasters and stucco in an eclectic design. Elements of neo-baroque and art nouveau are present here. On the first floor , window openings are designed similar to thermal bath windows.
Inside the house, stucco from the construction period has been preserved in the staircase.
In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 71144 .
The building is considered an example of a rental apartment building with a high standard from the turn of the 20th century. As part of a largely preserved row of houses from the time it was built, it is viewed as significant in terms of urban development and, due to its corner location, is characteristic of the street scene.
