The Goldbach (mostly regionally referred to as the Goldbach) , also known as the Saubach , is an approximately 5 km long left tributary of the Münzbach in Saxony .
course
Its entire run is located in the area of the city of Freiberg . The source area lies between the large pond and the middle pond or around these ponds in the Freiberg city forest at an altitude of about 460 m. After passing the middle pond, it flows around 300 m to the northwest, and then swings away by almost 90 ° to the northeast. Parallel to the Ölmühlenweg , it reaches the building boundary of the city of Freiberg. Here, at the level of the rifle house on Chemnitzer Straße, it goes into an approximately 400 m long piped section that ends at the mill pond . After flowing through the mill pond, after about 200 m it reaches the hammer pond with the former Freibergsdorf hammer mill , to which it supplied the usable water at the time. After another 800 m it will be piped again. After flowing through the cross ponds and the key pond , in the meantime swiveled in a more northerly direction, it reaches the Münzbach after about 5 km in the Freiberg district of Loßnitz .
