The Goldberg is one to about 564 m above sea level. NHN high mountain on the northern slope of the Harz near Göttingerode in Bad Harzburg in the district of Goslar in Lower Saxony .
The mountain is located between the Adenberg in the west and the Gläseckenberg in the east. It is the source mountain of the Röseckenbach and the Schlackentalbach, a tributary of the Gläsecke.
The mountain can be reached via the county road , which later turns into a hiking trail to the south. The Farewell Forest Goldberg has been located at its northern foot since 2006 . This is a cemetery for animals, which in this form is a pilot project in Lower Saxony. Furthermore, on the edge with the Café Goldberg gastronomy is located.
