Goldschmiede-Zeitung (GZ) is, according to its subtitle, “the magazine for jewelry and watches” and “the official organ of the Bavarian state association for gold and silversmiths”. The monthly magazine, initially also called Goldschmiedezeitung and at times also known as Deutsche Goldschmiedezeitung and European Jeweler , deals thematically with the crafts of gold and silversmiths , watchmakers and jewelers .

The Central Association for the Jewelers, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths was initially involved in the publication of the periodical, which was published by Rühle-Diebener Verlag in Stuttgart from 1948 to 2009 and has been published by Untitled Verlag and Agency in Hamburg and Pforzheim since 2012 . The sheet was accompanied by various inserts and supplements such as Gold Report or Der Ring , the GZ plus and Technik special , Magic moments or the Munich city guide , and from 2018 also the title Watches, Jewels, Jewelry .

The GZ is supplied free of charge to members of the Central Association for Watches, Jewelry and Time Measurement Technology as a specialist organ.

The predecessor of the magazine, in which the Deutsche Goldschmiedezeitung was also included, was the news paper for the goldsmith, jewelery and engraving trade .
