Gontim is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Gontim belongs to the district Fafe in Braga District . The community had an area of 3.3 km² and 89 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011). At 894 meters above sea level, the Alto de Morgaír mountain is the highest point in Fafe County.
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Gontim, Pedraído , Aboim and Felgueiras were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Aboim, Felgueiras, Gontim e Pedraído .
