The Good Glacier is a wide glacier on the Dufek coast of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It flows from the eastern slopes of the Hughes Range between Mount Brennan and Mount Waterman in a northeasterly direction to the Ross Ice Shelf , which it reaches east of Mount Reinhardt .
He was discovered during an overflight between February 29 and March 1, 1940 during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941). The American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd , head of this expedition, named it after Vice Admiral Roscoe Fletcher Good (1897–1973) of the United States Navy , who had supported Operation Highjump (1946–1947) with equipment, which was also led by Byrd .
