Lotte Erol , also Lotte Deyers , actually Anna Karola Maximiliane Charlotte Ahnert (* around 1900 in Kassel (?); † around 1991 in Zwolle , Netherlands) was a German actress , singer and entrepreneur. She was a daughter of the painter Arthur EM Ahnert (1865–1913).

Life

The dark-haired artist was probably born in 1900. Lotte Erol made her debut at the theater in 1906 under the direction of Josef Jarnos at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna. Before the First World War, she also worked at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf under the direction of Louise Dumont . From 1916 to 1920 she appeared at the Meinhard Bernauer Theaters in Berlin. In 1922 she worked at Cabaret La Gaité in Amsterdam and later as a soubrette in The Hague in the cabaret of the famous Dutchman Louis Davids . She married the Dutch hotelier Egbert Dyjers (1875–1948), who owned a renowned hotel in The Hague . In 1923 she moved to Vienna with Dyjers and his stepdaughter Nicoline. In the season 1926/27 a commitment Lotte Erol is detected at the Vienna Lustspieltheater before that stage yet 1927 comedy theater was rebuilt. In the summer of 1927 she played again in Holland in the ensemble of the Vienna Burgtheater. After that she rarely appeared on the theater boards.

When she arrived in Berlin in 1913, Lotte Erol also appeared in front of the camera for the first time and appeared in many silent films until shortly before the end of the First World War. Siegfried Dessauer often directed it. After 1918 she abstained from the screen until the end of the silent film era and only returned to the camera with the dawn of the sound film age.

In 1927 Dyjers' stepdaughter, Lien, also began to take an interest in the canvas. Taught by Lotte Erol, she won a talent search organized by Mein Film in Vienna . Shortly afterwards she was introduced to Fritz Lang , who hired her after a test shoot in Berlin. Her short but successful film career began at UFA under the pseudonym Lien Deyers .

From 1930 Erol (as Lotte Deyers ) still played as an extra in four sound films. In 1927 her husband Dyjers bought a hotel in Zandvoort, the Netherlands. In 1933 he took over the management of his hotel in The Hague again. In 1942 a son was born and the family settled near Zwolle where they set up a campsite.
