Goran Barjaktarević (born May 25, 1969 in Zenica , Yugoslavia ) is a former Yugoslav soccer player and DFB soccer teacher with German citizenship.

Career as a player

Goran Barjaktarević comes from the youth department of the NK Čelik Zenica (Bosnia and Herzegovina). In this club he went through all youth teams from the age of ten. At the age of seventeen he got his first contract as a professional footballer, also in this club. As a professional footballer, he was still active at FC Koper , Red Star Belgrade and FK Obilić in ex-Yugoslavia. He also played at KS / Leiftur (Iceland), Fath Union Sport (Morocco) and in Germany at SV Wilhelmshaven and SV Atlas Delmenhorst . At VfL Oldenburg , he ended his active football career in 2000.

Career as a coach

He began his career as a football coach in Germany in 1998 as a DFB-B license coach in the youth department of VfL Oldenburg. In 2000 he received the DFB-A license. and took over the A-youth of VfB Oldenburg in the Regionalliga Nord , the top division of the A-Juniors at the time. He held this position until 2005. In the same year it received its DFB football instructor license at the German Sport University Cologne ( Hennes-Weisweiler-Akademie ). As part of his training to become a football teacher, he sat in with Thomas Schaaf (Werder Bremen).

In winter 2006 he took over the first men's team from Brinkumer SV (Bremen) in the Oberliga-Nord as the successor to Uwe Reinders . From February 2007 to January 2010 he was the trainer of the Goslarer SC 08 . With this club he rose twice in a row. In the 2007/2008 season, he was promoted from the Braunschweig regional league to the Lower Lower Saxony East league. In the 2008/2009 season after winning the championship and winning the relegation game against VfB Oldenburg, the champions of the Oberliga Niedersachsen-West, promotion to the Regionalliga-Nord took place. For the 2011/12 season he was the coach of the U19 team in the performance center of the professional club Eintracht Braunschweig . Two years later he went to Hammer SpVg (Oberliga Westfalen) to become a coach and sports director. After a lack of sporting success, Hammer SpVg and Goran Barjaktarević separated in February 2015.

On January 4, 2018, he took over the head coach position at Chonburi FC , which plays in the Thai League , the top division of Thailand .
