Goran Rubil (born March 9, 1981 in Slavonski Brod , SR Croatia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian football player .

Career

Rubil started his career in his youth with his hometown club NK Marsonia Slavonski Brod . At 17 he moved to France and started at FC Nantes . He stayed there for a total of seven years and played ten league games for the club during this time. At the same time, he also played for the U-19s and U-21s of the Croatian national football team .

After a year at the Japanese club Shonan Bellmare , he finally returned to his home country Croatia in 2005 and played for HNK Rijeka for two years before moving to HNK Hajduk Split in 2007 , for which he played a total of 51 games and scored four goals.

After three more years with Asteras Tripoli in the Greek Super League , Rubil ended his active football career.
