Goran Vujić

Goran Vujić ( Cyrillic  Горан Вујић , born December 7, 1982 in Loznica , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian electric bass player .

Vujić comes from a family of musicians; his father was a professional guitarist and bassist. He and his family emigrated to Germany during the war in former Yugoslavia . He decided to play the electric bass at the age of 13 after his father gave him teaching videos by John Patitucci and Jaco Pastorius . At the age of 19 he began to study music at the Folkwang University in Essen. From the end of 2006 he belonged to the pop rock band LaFee , with whom he toured internationally, recorded albums and appeared in television shows in Germany (e.g. Echo , Bravo Super Show , TV Total , Goldene Stimmgabel , ZDF Television garden ).

Vujić released two albums with the fusion jazz band Gut with guitarist Thorsten Praest and Ulf Stricker on drums. Furthermore he was with Walter Fischbacher in his band Phishbacher Trio with the drummers Yutaka Uchida and Ulf Stricker; five albums were created together. He also works as a freelance musician, studio and session musician, for example for Zlatko Manojlović, Albie Donnellys Supercharge and Elisabeth Lohninger. He can also be heard on albums by Hans Van Even with guitarists Tony MacAlpine and Brett Garsed , on Alex de Macedo's Natureman in Factoryland and on guitarist Ricky Garcia's album Let Sleeping Dogs Lie with Jordan Rudess from the band Dream Theater .
