The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation is an American foundation . It was founded in September 2000 by Intel co- founder Gordon E. Moore and his wife Betty I. Moore based in Palo Alto , California. The foundation's capital was 5 billion US dollars in mid-2013, and at the end of 2015 it was 6.4 billion US dollars. In 2013 it was one of the 10 largest foundations in the United States of America.

The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation aims to promote results-oriented projects that help improve the quality of life for future generations.
