Gorefield is an Australian thrash metal band from Brisbane that was formed in 2011.
history
The band was formed in 2011 and consists of drummer Danyn Andrew, bassist BJ and singer and guitarist Kurt Tickle. In 2013, she opened for Epica in Brisbane. At the same time, the debut album As Dawn Bleeds the Sky was released ... self-released. Later that year the group was seen at the Steel Assissins in Sydney . The album was re-released in February 2014 via Tridroid Records .
style
Brian Giffin ordered the band in his Encyclopedia of Australian Heavy Metal the old school -Thrash metal to. Robert from thesonicsensory.com described the music of As Dawn Bleeds the Sky ... as classic Thrash Metal. The band sounds influenced by the Big Four Metallica , Slayer , Anthrax and Megadeth , from which modern, straightforward Thrash Metal emerges, which, however, sounds classic. James Bushnell from metal-observer.com also reviewed the album and noted that the band name suggests a classic Death Metal band, but it is classic Thrash Metal, and all American bands in the genre of cite the late 1980s or early 1990s as a reference.
