Gōseki Kojima

Goseki Kojima ( Jap. 小島剛夕 , Kojima Goseki ; * 3. November 1928 in Yokkaichi , † 5. January 2000 ) was a manga artist who primarily by the Manga Okami (Lone Wolf and Cub) , which together with Kazuo Koike was , got known.

From 1950 he worked as an illustrator in Tokyo . He drew his first manga in 1967 for a magazine. He then created some works for Garo and made a name for himself in the field of gekiga . 1970 began working with Kazuo Koike on Kozure Okami . With this work he achieved great fame and recognition and this was also the beginning of a very successful collaboration with Kazuo Koike.

In 2004, Kazuo Koike and Gōseki Kojima received the prestigious Hall of Fame Eisner Award from the jury.
