Got My Mojo Working is a blues song written by Preston Foster and first recorded by Ann Cole in 1956. The piece became popular in the version published by Muddy Waters in 1957 . Rolling Stone magazine lists Waters' version at number 368 on its list of the 500 best songs of all time . Waters' version was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and is on the Songs of the Century list (2001).

The song is about a man who puts a mojo on a woman , but it doesn't seem to work; she does not return his love. Some artists varied the text; the core, however, always remained the same.

Several prominent musicians have recorded the piece, including Canned Heat , Elvis Presley , BB King and Eric Clapton . The song remained closely associated with Muddy Waters .
