The Gotha Go 145 was a trainer aircraft from Gothaer Waggonfabrik Aktiengesellschaft. Almost 1200 machines were built between 1936 and 1940.
history
The Gothaer Waggonbau company resumed aircraft construction at the end of 1933 after a 15-year break . The Go 145 was the first in-house development after the First World War . The Go 145 was designed as an advanced training aircraft in mixed construction as an open two-seat biplane . The Argus As 10 C with 240 hp was installed as the engine . Series production of the aircraft began in March 1936 and ended as early as October 1938 after the Go 145 A built for the RLM in 1120. In addition to Gotha (584 aircraft), Erla (106 aircraft), AGO (241 aircraft), BFW (115 aircraft) and Focke built -Wulf (74 aircraft) the Go 145 under license. The first 30 aircraft were exported to Turkey as early as 1936 . In 1937 Austria received 12 aircraft. 21 aircraft were delivered to Spain during the Spanish Civil War . For export purposes, another 13 aircraft were built in 1939 (for Romania ) and ten in 1940. The planes from 1940 were probably taken over for the Luftwaffe . A total of 1182 Go 145s were built without prototypes.
