The cemetery chapel of the Holy Cross is located in the municipality of Gutenzell-Hürbel in the district of Biberach in Upper Swabia and has the address on the Kapellenberg 1, 2 .

The chapel is located about 1400 meters north of the Gutenzell district and can be reached via an asphalt road that  branches off from the K 7506. It was built on the site of the abandoned Gutenzell Castle in the 18th century and is surrounded by a wall. It belonged to the Gutenzell Imperial Abbey . The chapel is a simple, geosteter , beaver tail covered longitudinal building with three-eighths chancel and east side mounted skylights with bells . In 1755, the then imperial abbess Maria Franziska von Gall had the chapel painted by Johann Georg Dieffenbrunner .
