Gottfried Fittbogen
Gottfried Fittbogen (born January 20, 1878 in Ahrenshagen ( Northern Pomerania), † September 22, 1941 in Berlin ) was a German private scholar and author.
Fittbogen first studied theology, but then turned to German studies. In 1907 he became a senior teacher (teacher) in Berlin-Neukölln , but quit school in October 1911 to devote himself to scientific research. As a private scholar, he has henceforth dealt with the "customer of border and foreign Germanism" and the "recording of German nationality outside Germany" .
Fittbogen has written numerous articles on this subject. His main work, the book What Every German Must Know About Border and Foreign Germanism , the first edition of which was almost 64 pages thick, came in its ninth and last edition to 280 pages.
