Gottfried Hierzenberger

Gottfried Hierzenberger (born January 5, 1937 in Vienna ) is an Austrian Catholic theologian.

Life

Hierzenberger was a religion teacher in Wiener Neustadt and Munich , editor at Herder Verlag and press officer in the civil service. He is the author of numerous theological books. Since 1990 he has been working as a freelance editor at Tyrolia Verlag . In 1961 he was ordained a priest. In 1965 he did his doctorate with Karl Hermann Schelkle at the University of Tübingen with a study of the world assessment of Paul according to 1 Cor 7: 29-31 for a doctorate in theology. He has three sons with his wife Adele Hierzenberger.
