Gottfried Schugens

Gottfried Schugens (born March 18, 1946 in Geheege ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Thuringian state parliament from 1994 to 2009 .

Career

After completing his professional training (1960 to 1963), Schugens worked as an agricultural machinery and tractor fitter until 1969 - interrupted by the 18-month military service in 1966/67 - and then from 1969 to 1990 as a trainer and specialist teacher. From 1967 to 1971 he completed an engineering degree in mechanical engineering.

After the political change , Schugens was head of department at the Pößneck district administration from 1990 to 1994 . In the state elections in 1994 he was elected to the Thuringian state parliament for the first time. He always moved into the state parliament with a direct mandate from the constituency of Saale-Orla-Kreis II , where he was the transport policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group. In the 2009 state elections , Schugens lost his constituency to Heidrun Sedlacik ( Die Linke ). Since he was not able to enter the state parliament via the CDU state list, where he ran in 44th place, he left parliament.

Schugens is a district council member in the Saale-Orla district and deputy district chairman of the CDU.
