Gottfried Störmer

Gottfried Störmer (* 1959 in Lampertheim ) is a German local politician and elected mayor of his hometown Lampertheim.

Störmer grew up in Lampertheim and graduated from high school here. He then began studying business administration and then went to work for the police . Until 1987 he was part of the riot police in Wiesbaden , then part of the criminal investigation service in Heppenheim and Darmstadt . He held management positions in Heppenheim, Darmstadt, in the Hessian State Criminal Police Office and in the Hessian Ministry of the Interior and for Sport .

From 1989 to 1991 he studied at the Administrative College of the Police and Administration, Wiesbaden and thus qualified for the high-level police service . Between 1995 and 1997 he studied at the Police Leadership Academy in order to qualify for the higher police law enforcement service. Most recently, as chief criminal director, he was deputy head of the personnel department of the Hessian police in the Hessian interior ministry.

In the first ballot, Gottfried Störmer received 34.6 percent and in the runoff election 59.3 percent of the vote. He is independent, but the CDU and the FDP spoke out in favor of him.
