Gottfried Wolfgang Würcher (born October 24, 1958 in Untertweng ), Friedl Würcher for short , is an Austrian pop singer who is best known as the head of the Nockalm Quintet .

biography

Since 1982 Gottfried Würcher has been a member of the Nockalm Quintet, which is one of the most successful Austrian groups in the field of popular hits. From 1999 to 2010 there was a joint project with the Klostertalers and the Kastelruther Spatzen called The Big 3 of Folk Music . Even before this project released his last album, Würcher tried a solo album in 2010. It is titled This is how I am and was able to build on the successes with the Nockalm Quintet. Since 2003, all of the group's albums in Austria had been either number one or number two, Würcher reached number three with his solo debut and was also placed in Switzerland. Then he concentrated again on working with the Nockalm Quintet.

It wasn't until a few years later that he decided to do a second solo album. Gedankenspiel was published at the end of February 2015 and reached number 4 in Austria. Like So am I , this album also achieved gold status (7500 copies sold). With God forgives sins , he also had a single hit.
