Goulnara Arzhantseva
Goulnara Nurullovna Arzhantseva even Goulnara Arjantseva , ( Russian Гульнара Нурулловна Аржанцева , German transcription Gulnara Nurullowna Arschanzewa , scientific. Transliteration Gul'nara Nurullovna Aržanceva * 28. November 1973 in the Oblast Perm , Soviet Union ) is a Russian mathematician . She is professor of algebra at the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Vienna and one of the two deputy directors of the Erwin Schrödinger Institute for Mathematical Physics .
Arzhantseva visited the Kolmogorov -School for young talents in physics and mathematics of Moscow State University in Moscow and studied then at the same university mathematics, where they at 1998 Alexander Olschanski on "Generic Properties of finitely Presented Groups" doctorate . She then held academic positions at the University of Geneva and the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland . In October 2010, Arzhantseva was appointed to the University of Vienna.
Her specialties are algebra , metric spaces and geometric topology , as well as geometric , analytical , combinatorial and computational aspects of group theory .
In 2010, Arzhantseva received a Starting Independent Researcher Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) .
