The Nässja burial ground is located near the road northwest of Vadstena in the Swedish province of Östergötland County and the historic province of Östergötland on a rocky promontory overlooking Lake Vättern at the eastern entrance to Nässja.

The most obvious Monument of 110 x 70 m large burial , the 500-950 n. Chr. Was used, a wide, formed from 24 obtained up to 2.25 m high boulders 44 m long and 18 m ship reduction . The stones, which are about 2.5 m apart, are connected by a low (0.1–0.2 m) earth wall. Unlike the rest of the ships, the ship has no pointed ends (hence sometimes called a domar ring ) and is more similar to one of the contemporary, traditional house floor plans. A large ring made up of six stones and a center stone is known as a domar ring, i.e. the “judge's ring from Nässja”. The burial ground also includes two burial mounds, 17 smaller round stone settings , a single standing stone and a rare square stone setting with three to four flat stones between the significantly higher corner stones.

The ship's settlement and the large stone ring were examined and restored in 1953. It was found that they were all cremation graves, often with rich grave goods of pottery, tools, personal items and jewelry, so that the grave field could be well dated.
