Alain Grée
Alain Grée (born July 21, 1936 in Eaubonne near Paris ) is a French children's author and illustrator who has published over 300 books that have been translated into 20 different languages.

In addition to children's books, Alain Grée u. a. three detective novels, various games and produced children's programs for French television. He also worked as an illustrator for various magazines and as a journalist for the sailing ship magazine Voiles et Voiliers for over 20 years . He wrote numerous non-fiction books on sailing.
Many of his children's picture books were non-fiction and appeared in book series. The following series have been published in Germany:

Most of his children's books were published by Librairie Hachette and Éditions Casterman . For the publisher Gautier-Languereau he created several books in the Les Albums Merveilleux series , the French counterpart of the wonder books . In Germany his books were published a. a. at Boje Verlag , Carlsen Verlag and Tessloff Verlag .
