The Green Bridge Vilnius ( lit. Vilniaus Žaliasis tiltas ) is a road bridge over the Neri in the center of Lithuanian capital Vilnius . Built in 1952, it connects the Šnipiškės district with the center and old town of Vilnius . A bridge was first mentioned here in a document as early as 1386. On the night of July 6th to 7th, 1944, it was destroyed by the Wehrmacht along with the city's water pumping station and power station and only rebuilt in 1952.
