history

On January 6, 1896, 28 Aitrachtal citizens founded the Weichshofen Loan Association, the origin of today's Raiffeisenbank Mengkofen-Loiching eG, as a registered cooperative with unlimited liability based in Ettenkofen. The first financial year closed with total assets of 10,766.37 German marks and a profit of 25 Pfennig. In 1913 Mengkofen, Tunzenberg and Auholz were integrated into the club district and the headquarters of the cooperative moved to Weichshofen. Due to the relatively well-flourishing goods business, the cooperative commissioned the construction of a suitable storage room. Even the purchase of a second artificial fertilizer spreader and sack cart was necessary and implemented. The cooperative had 131 members. In 1934 the uniform statute prescribed by the Reich Association was adopted by the General Assembly with the relocation of the headquarters to Mengkofen. In 1946 the cooperative set up a grain collection point for BayWa Dingolfing. The opening DM balance sheet showed equity of 2,472.36 DM, in 1951 the balance sheet total was 48,100 DM. The cooperative's share was set at 100 DM and had to be paid in full. The new company name as a result of the assumption of a new status was: Raiffeisenkasse Weichshofen eGmuH based in Mengkofen. For the first time in 1958 members could be credited with a 5% reimbursement of goods. In 1968 the Raiffeisenkasse Moosthenning, founded in 1896, was taken over and automated accounting was introduced. In April 1969, the Raiffeisenkasse decided to merge with the Raiffeisenkasse Tunding, founded on January 12, 1896, and the Raiffeisenkasse Martinsbuch, which was launched on January 18, 1910. In June 1970 the Raiffeisenkasse Thürnthenning, founded on November 14, 1896, joined the Raiffeisenkasse Weichshofen. The Raiffeisenkasse Lengthal, founded on January 27, 1896, and Dornwang, founded on December 18, 1902, decided to merge as early as December 31, 1967 and implemented their decision as Raiffeisenkasse Lengthal-Dornwang on April 3, 1971, together with the Raiffeisenkasse Weichshofen as the acquiring partner to tread the path into the future. The Raiffeisenkasse Hofdorf, founded March 31, 1912, decided in 1972 to merge with the Raiffeisenkasse Weichshofen. At the General Assembly on May 17, 1974, the members made the decision to rename Raiffeisenkasse Weichshofen eGmbH to Raiffeisenbank Mengkofen eG. The Raiffeisenbank had numerous merger talks with the Raiffeisenkasse Steinbach-Mühlhausen, which was founded on December 8, 1896; the merger was contractually sealed on April 13, 1983. In 1985 Raiffeisen Insurance and Real Estate Service GmbH was founded. In May 1986 the shell of the new bank building in Mengkofen was finished. The bank was opened on October 25, 1986. In 2000 the Raiffeisenbank Mengkofen eG merged with the Raiffeisenbank Loiching-Wendelskirchen eG to form Raiffeisenbank Mengkofen-Loiching eG.
