history
The history of today's VR-Bank Landau-Mengkofen goes back to 1894 with the founding of the Raiffeisenkassen Waibling and Pitzling. On the one hand stood the Volksbank Landau, founded in 1905, and the Raiffeisenbank Eichendorf, which had been formed from several loan associations. With the merger of these two banks, Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank Landau was created in 1992. On the other hand, the formerly 15 independent Raiffeisen banks merged over the years and formed Raiffeisenbank Gäuboden / Mitte-Isar in 1999. VR-Bank Landau eG was created in 2002 from the large merger between Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank Landau and Raiffeisenbank Gäuboden / Mitte-Isar. The roots of Raiffeisenbank Mengkofen-Loiching go back to 1896. Raiffeisenbank Loiching-Wendelskirchen, which emerged from three banks, and Raiffeisenbank Mengkofen, which over the years merged nine banks, merged in 2000. In 2018, Raiffeisenbank Mengkofen-Loiching and VR-Bank Landau merged to form today's VR-Bank Landau -Mengkofen eG.

history
The TEBA Kreditbank GmbH & Co. KG was founded on January 31, 1972 as the Landauer Teilzahlungsbank TEBA-finanz GmbH & Co. KG by the then Volksbank Landau eG. The background for the establishment was the enormous effort involved in the implementation of many small, short-term financings that the tax legislation of the time caused for the Volksbanks. Initially, only an approval for installment loans and non-installment loans was granted by the then Federal Banking Supervisory Office (BAKred). Just two years later, the approval was extended to the granting of money loans and discount business . Also in 1974 the company moved into its first own business premises in Harburger Strasse in Landau. Until then, the subsidiary was housed in the Volksbank Landau. In 1979, the approval by the BAKred was expanded to include the acceptance business and the guarantee business. On September 13, 1989 the name was changed to TEBA Kreditbank GmbH & Co. KG . Since 1996, the bank has been authorized to conduct deposit and giro business.
