In 1752 Parnkofen consisted of 22 properties. In addition to the Metten Monastery, the landlords included the Niederaltaich Monastery and the Passau Cathedral Chapter .
After the communities were formed in 1818, Parnkofen belonged to the Waibling community of the Landau an der Isar district court . Since the beginning of the 19th century there was a school in Parnkofen. It existed until after 1950, when the new boys' school in Pilsting was inaugurated there. Together with the municipality of Waibling , Parnkofen became part of the Pilsting market on January 1, 1972. In 1987 Parnkofen had 180 inhabitants.
