The tomb of Virgil , also known as Vergilsgrab , is a garden architectural building in the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel in northern Hesse .

It is a replica of Virgil's crypt on Via Puteolana between Naples and Puteoli, built around 1775 under Landgrave Friedrich II . It stands as garden architectural accessories between Wilhelmshöhe Palace , aqueduct , Jussow temple and the pyramid of Cestius and consists of a cube-shaped substructure on which a truncated cone rises.

Today's barred interior is empty.
