County of Pardiac
The county of Pardiac was part of the county of Astarac until Count Arnaud II of Astarac gave the area to his younger son Bernard in 1023. In female succession, Pardiac went to the House of Montlezun at the end of the 13th century and in 1391 to the House of Lomagne . With the extinction of the House of Lomagne, Pardiac fell to the French crown.
The county comprised what is now called Rivière-Basse part of Gascogne in the north of the Hautes-Pyrénées department and south-west of the Gers department .
