Jacques d'Armagnac (* 1433 ; † August 4, 1477 ) was Count of Pardiac from 1462 and Duke of Nemours from 1464. He was the son of Bernard d'Armagnac , Count of Pardiac, and Éléonore de Bourbon , Countess of La Marche and Duchess of Nemours.

In 1462 he married in Poitiers Louise d'Anjou (1445–1477), daughter of Count Charles IV of Maine and Isabella of Luxembourg ; her children were:

  • Louis d'Armagnac (1472–1503), Duke of Nemours and Count of Guise ,

In his youth he was from King Ludwig XI. showered with favors, and it was he who arranged the marriage with one of his cousins ​​and enfeoffed him with the Duchy of Nemours . Far from showing his appreciation for this, Jacques d'Armagnac joined the king's enemies and also joined the Ligue du Bien public . He was pardoned twice, but besieged and captured the third time in Carlat . Jacques d'Armagnac was brought to the Bastille , where the king locked him in an iron cage. After the condemnation by the Parlement in Paris, he was born on August 4, 1477 executed .
